LASERRAPTOR

The mothership · independent software lab

Software
with sharp
teeth.

LaserRaptor is the lab behind Gavel and Broomy. We take official data, build it into tools people actually use, and dress the whole thing in arcade neon. Small operation, sharp output.

01 / The line

Products from the workshop.

Two tracks, one standard: real data, real edges, no filler. Every product runs its own domain under this brand.

P.01 — Auction intelligenceLIVE

GAVEL

Judicial and foreclosure auctions, harvested from official sources and rebuilt as maps, filters and dossiers. Built for people who need the lot behind the listing.

  • Official sources, deduplicated and normalised
  • Map, list and dossier views over the same record
  • Multi-country, multi-language from day one
P.02 — UnannouncedIN THE WORKSHOP

BROOMY

The second product in the line. Still under the tarp in the workshop: no spec sheet, no launch date, no vapourware. It ships when it is sharp.

  • Same lab, same standard
  • Specification under embargo
  • Follow the line for the first run

Field note

“We were promised neon cities and flying cars. We got the neon. We are building the rest.”

— The lab, 2026

02 / The arsenal

Five things that built the look.

Not decoration — a design brief. Chrome, grid, neon and a dinosaur that refuses to go extinct.

A raptor with laser eyes standing on a neon DeLorean on a synthwave grid1981 · 88 MPH

DMC-12

Stainless steel, gull-wing doors, a flux capacitor in the back. The only car that treated a speed limit as a design goal.

1982 · THE GRID

Light Cycle

A ribbon of light, a grid with no edges and a soundtrack by Wendy Carlos. Still the cleanest interface metaphor ever filmed.

1988 · NEO-TOKYO

Kaneda's Bike

A red slide through a city that never stopped glowing. The reason every dashboard since has wanted neon.

1974 · 43 QUINTILLION STATES

3 × 3 × 3

One solved state out of 43 quintillion. The original state machine, and still the cheapest way to teach commitment.

Velociraptor

Pack hunter, apex predator, featherweight. Small, fast, and smarter than the fossil record first suggested.

03 / The lab

One room. Two products. No excuses.

Design, engineering, data pipelines and copy all happen in the same room. That is why the sites are fast, the numbers match, and the text does not read like it was assembled by a committee.

The name is the brief: a raptor is small, fast and smarter than it looks. The laser is for the detail work.

  1. 01

    Sharp beats big

A product that does one thing exactly is worth more than a platform that does nine things approximately. We ship the first, and we say no to the second.

  2. 02

    Data, not decoration

Every page answers a question a user actually asked. If a chart cannot change a decision, it does not survive the second review.

  3. 03

    No dark patterns

No fake urgency, no pre-ticked boxes, no newsletter trap. The exit is as easy as the entrance, and that is a design rule, not a courtesy.
